With a century of experience in the heating and air conditioning industry, Baxi boasts a long history dating back to 1925, when the Austrian Westen family founded the Smalterie Metallurgiche Venete factory near Vicenza, Italy. Since then, the company has grown to become a benchmark in the industry, specializing in the production of enameled products such as electric water heaters, bathtubs, and steel heating elements. Over the years, Baxi refined its expertise, focusing on the heating sector and becoming a pioneer in the late 1970s with the introduction of domestic gas appliances, including wall-mounted boilers. In the 1980s, the company consolidated its presence in the Italian market and began its expansion abroad. In 1999, Baxi became part of the British BAXI GROUP, a European leader in the heating sector, and then, in 2009, formed the BDR Thermea Group with De Dietrich and Remeha Group. Today, Baxi is recognized as a primary player in the European heating sector: with over 850 employees and a turnover of 380 million euros in 2024, the company is one of the leaders in the Italian market and distributes its products in more than 50 countries worldwide.
